Why Worry?
Psalms 46: 10-11 (Amplified)
“Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of jacob is our Refuge (our High Tower and Stronghold). Selah (Pause, and calmly think of that)!”
I read this verse the other day and it filled my heart.
Each day we make so many decisions. Some are small and some can be life changing. Our lives are made of seasons, some stressful and some bountiful. Wherever I am in life I love to read these words “Let be and be still”. I have always been a worrier. It doesn’t really matter what is going on there is always something to worry about, something that causes me uncertainty. I have a hard time letting go and tend to dwell on situations of uncertainty. Then these words “Let be and be still” come to my mind. To recognize and understand that he is God leads me to the words “let be and be still”. Why worry? Lets recognize and understand that he is God. He is with us. He is our refuge, which means something that provides safety or shelter from danger.
Wherever you are in life today. If you’re worried about something. Pause and think about this verse. He is God. He is with you. He is your safe place. Let be and be still.
